Hi Massimo,

I add this, in the hope it can be of help.

This condition happens also when i update a number of records in domains
so that i restart 4 or 5 times bind.

As I mentioned the exceptq report implies the issue is occurring during
some file operations, so this seems to sync with your descripion of when
the exception occurs.

If you are not updating DNS records, is bind completely stable?

Of course no, sometimes it "zombify" even 2 times per day and a reboot is required.
(I've a lot of dumps of the named process in this condition if this can help).
Process unkillable and unresponsive.

When you need to update DNS records, do you shut down bind before doing
the edits?

Steven

Normally no, i restart it after the modifies are done.
My script restart bind and sync all the zone files to the 2ndary DNS.

See that in the past i allways modified zones with bind running
and it never exited/crashed.
