The mirrored servers problem can be solved. =20 You need to be in control of both your Apache servers and your DNS=20 servers. It is a security issue so I would not dream of discussing that=20 on a public platform. It can be accomplished. For a single OS2 apache=20 server with no control to the DNS you can use cron to run steven's=20 script on a few days of the month. If LE fails to update nothing=20 happens, if it updates it updates! I forgot to update and decided to=20 try that so far so good. Is there a utility that will start to run a=20 script every 47 days? Or be smart enuf to remember when it last ran and=20 run 47 days later? Dan PS Due to the current browser wars, I feel like a wolf on a prarie dog=20 town. Every time I lift up my foot another one gets away. Or "whack a=20 mole"! Life is a challenge, it is how you face that challenge that=20 counts. Wishing I was a wolf with four feet instead of two I do have. ------ Original Message ------ From "Steven Levine" To "eCS ISP Mailing List" Date 5/16/2026 3:21:59 PM Subject Re: [eCS-ISP] SSL cert lifetime >In , on 05/16/26 > at 05:33 PM, "Lewis G Rosenthal" said: > >Hi, > >>Still, it seems to me that there should be a better way to ensure >>security without having to "change the lock" every few days to make sure >>that any lost keys don't get misappropriated. > >It would be nice if someone came up with such a solution.
