Hi Massimo,

for a LE certificate renewal if i use uacme 1.2.4 i get this:
uacme: version 1.2.4 starting on Tue, 09 Jun 2026 09:34:39
...
...
uacme: fetching directory at
https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/directory uacme: curl_get: GET

DId 1.2.4 ever work for you or are you in the process of trying to switch
over from 1.0.19?

i tried it in the past, but something wrong happened
i've seen now that i'm using 1.0.9 everywhere

there are also other posts to this ML

on MTA2 was happening this, each scheduled renewal of the mta(popS) cert
failed, so each time i had to start the script manually and it worked

2 days ago i got bored to have each time to do it manually, so i've
moved back to 1.0.9

i don't explain why it work from command line, but not if started
by the scheduler (i'm not going to change the scheduler anyway,
too much stuff to modify)
scheduler is cron2 1.4n by Yuri, it works pefercly
i will not move back to cronrfg.cmd since in the (rare) case
that rexx go away the scheduler stop working, while the exe
scheduler is much much more robust

Since the error messages imply curl is failing you, what happens if you
run

   curl https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/directory

no issues, with -o flag it save the same contents like wget does

If your curl setup is working, you will get the contents of the directory
file written to stdout.  If this fails, check that you have a properly
update curl.

As a secondary check, you can run

   wget https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/directory

no issues:

Richiesta HTTP inviata, in attesa di risposta... 200 OK
Lunghezza: 1031 (1,0K) [application/json]
2026-06-11 09:10:32 (20,1 KB/s) -  directory.2  salvato [1031/1031]

FWIW, there was more than one 1.2.4 build.  I recommend you verify that
you are running

1.2.4
08-16-24  16:43         212,742      0  uacme.exe
Module name: uacme
No bldlevel data detected
179ef19e9c1b7f89beb3fcf016efc113 *uacme.exe

Steven

here buildlevel give out only this:
unknown return code 3 from FileVerGetVersionStringFromFile
File uacme_new.exe has no LAN component-style version string.

size is 212,742, but file date is different
(maybe due to ftp that changed the file date or such..)

but the file is this one:

https://smedley.id.au/tmp/uacme-1.2.4-os2-20240817.zip
