BIND-users,

This is a reminder that BIND 9.11 is approaching End of Life (EOL) at 
the end of this month.

BIND 9.11 was originally scheduled to be EOL at the end of 2021. We 
decided to extend that through the first quarter of 2022, to allow our 
users a bit more time to migrate. However, after the end of March we 
will no longer issue any new versions of 9.11. We will not test 9.11 
when new CVEs are reported, and we will not issue patches for 9.11. We 
will remove the 9.11 packages from our package repository on Cloudsmith, 
and will replace the version in the "ESV" repository with 9.16.

We strongly encourage anyone still running 9.11 to upgrade to BIND 9.16 
or 9.18 as soon as possible. If your company or organization needs 
assistance with the migration process, you can ask for help on 
bind-users@lists.isc.org or contact us for information about a paid 
professional support contract at https://www.isc.org/contact.
