Massimo,

Check your config.sys file and check you have network drivers after all IFS and FXWRAP.SYS as latest driver for the network.
Here is what I use now, it is mutch better and about 20% slower than windows. Before changes with includ of latest fxwrap, perfs was awfull.

networking drivers are at the end of the config.sys

e.g.

REM *** All IFS must be before following lines ***
DEVICE=C:\IBMCOM\MACS\MMRE.OS2
REM DEVICE=C:\IBMCOM\MACS\R8169.OS2 (left to switch and test for comparaison only)
DEVICE=C:\IBMCOM\PROTOCOL\FXWRAP.SYS (be sure to use the fxwrap.sys 4.2.2 as written at boot load time and not 4.2.1, default for 4.2.2 ijf)

thanks

don't mind about the build, i'm using 3/2019 build of fxwrap.sys

which kind of datarates are you having?
which kind of connection?

massimo

update

i moved all the nics stuff and fxwrap.sys to the end of config.sys
but the datarates didn't improve, allways bad :(
less than 2MegaBytes/sec on a Fttc 100Megabit/sec

that's really strange, since i've decent download datarates from the other server
same hardware, same OS, same injoy Fw build (4.2.2) with 22 march 2019 fxwrap.sys
(about 6.9 MegaBytes/sec)

note: Sometimes, stop/restart of the interface improves responsiveness.

Rémy

Hi all,

i'm following the giant thread on os2world.com, but i don't see any answer
that has found a solution or at least a good improvement...

here i have a 100Megabit/sec downstreaming and 20Megabit/sec upstreaming
business connection, full granted

useless to say that on the W10 laptop (Dell XPS15 9560) i see downloads of about 8MegaBytes/sec
when using the fttc Cisco router as gateway

but when i use one of my eCS2.1 servers* with the latest AN driver stack (11/2018)
i get downloads of about a 20Megabit/sec internet connection from 2 to 2.5MegaBytes/sec that's
not good in 2019...

*SuperMicro PDSME+ Intel Xeon 2,4Ghz 4cores, 4GB ram, eCS runs on bare metal
(no VM) with onboard Intel Gigabit eth Nics

i've of course played with all the winsize stuff in the stack ip of my server
but i don't see *any* improvements

on the servers i run Injoy Firewall 4.2.2 with the latest build of fxwrap (3/2019)
upgrades of fxwrap.sys do not help, rising the fw priority do not help

any opinion?
any experiences?
any idea?

massimo
