Hi Max,
Apologies, very delayed response here - I've been busy on non-OS/2 related projects (new car, and new energy provider - which necessitated coding some stuff for my home automation)

IIRC, Paul only runs v5.6 these days.
Whilst in the OS/2 context this is true, the reality is that I only use v5.6 for testing apache/php - my sites are all hosted in linux (Ubuntu and Armbian) with the latest mariadb in use.
just pure curiosity
why don't you run a Vbox VM with AOS or eCS 2.2 as production machine?
you will have a (much) better test scenario
Largely as until recently, I didn't have any x86 hardware here that was capable of running a VM or native and run 24/7. Most of my development work is done on an Ubuntu laptop with vbox. I now have a couple of Lenovo thinkcentres that can run native ArcaOS.
It's also a matter of the amount of free time I have. I can spend a bunch of time moving a working Mysql install (actually MariaDB) to an OS/2 box - and dealing with potential issues due to the older version - or I can spend time working on other OS/2 things like Qt.
Right now, I'm having more fun with OpenHAB and home automation than doing either of the above.
Cheers,
Paul
