Been many years, when I had bind on a second server for redundancy,
I used eCS as I wasnt using my license for anything else, the
server would sometimes freeze, or Bind and my 2MX Weasel
would stop working and become unkillable. Marking all the
BIND exe's to MP unsafe fixed the problem.

I ended up replacing the SMP Kernel with a uni version after
deciding I didnt really need both Core2duo cores running for
something that had so little load. That server would run for
months with no problems until I would turn it off for cleaning.

Somewhere I remember reading that BIND core wasnt to
happy with OS/2's SMP but I also had no problems with
running it on an IBM xeon based server in SMP mode
with updated Merlin OS/2 version with the latest SMP
kernels about 4-5 years ago.

No definity answer but I strongly suspect the SMP kernel
supplied with eCS. If you are running a recent SMP kernel
your probably fine but I have always changed an exe to
MP unsafe if I have wierd problems as a check.

Cheers
Ian
