This would seem to be an appropriate place to ask this:

I have Peter's FTP server running. Mostly, it works very well,
however, a while back, I was trying to use it while I was away from
home. All I got was a connection timeout. At the time, I had a Friend
near Victoria BC give it a try. It worked as expected.

I am pretty sure that it is not a firewall problem, because I was
able to use Weasel, on the same computer.

After I got home, I inspected the logs, and it seems that the FTP
serve never saw any access attempts. Of course, trying it, when
closer to home, always works (even using my cell phone access).
Changing timeout settings doesn't make any difference.

How do I find out where the problem is?
