I tried Tracerte from my end. All I get is "permission denied".

I am inclined to try SFTP first. I can make it work in my home network, but I am not too sure about how to do it through the internet. I would also like to keep jFTP as the client. My brother can usually follow step by step instructions, but he seems to have jFTP figured out. At the moment, jFTP doesn't accept the signature file, as produced by SFTP but I haven't tried any of the options.
