OTOH, my power/battery widget seems to work OK. [It's not the beer
barrel style, though. It looks like a battery, blue on the bottom with
a yellow segment that grows as the battery is used.]
Thanks, again.
Carl
I pulled the plug on mine and get the same as you. I have yet to try the "beer" widget to see what it looks like on battery. If it shuts down in 6 minutes, I will not be too happy.
The BeerBattery widget seems to work fine on Diane's machine (6-cell battery, not the 9-cell). The machine also seems to get some great runtime on battery (over two hours, even with the Wi-Fi going full blast with streaming video from youtube.com).
When I run the ACPIBattery.exe utility from the ACPI utilities directory, I have to specify the "s" parameter or I get pretty much null output. I did not spend much time capturing the screen output to debug it, though (hey, it really *is* still technically tax season, so the time I spent with it today was already over-the-top!).
