On a T61 the package of Jan van Wijk doesn't work.
Acpid.cfg I changed some things:
Lid Suspend, don't expect something from it, it doesn't work at the moment.
Powerbutton=off
Sleepstate=S3
Idlestate=C2
Maxthrl=0
extrakernelhlt=yes
htltime=700
I use the test kernel from betazon (works verygood, have no problem with it)
With these settings I get around 3-3:30 hours on battery (using standard battery)
