I use the Panorama driver on my T61P and seem to be getting good
performance (110 sysbench points) - almost as good as on my desktop
SDD/Iiyama. Running it at that relatively low resolution will reduce
your performance, but should not to the extent you indicate. Sounds to
me more like a real/virtual memory problem - I have suspicions that
PMView and Seamonkey both have some bad leaks. Does it immediately
improve on re-booting, only to slow down again ?

I use Snap at 1040x760 (or so), 16 MB depth, and it is SLOW. Directory listings of many files take too much time; the light box mode of PMView takes too long to display; work with the browser (seamonkey) is often very slow, etc. Would someone have a suggestion of what one could try to speed up the display some? Is there a way?
