FWIW, I have solved my problem. My config.sys had 5 entries for usbuhcd and 1 entry for usbehcd.
Adding a second usbehcd entry to the config.sys (matching pci.exe detection) fixed the problem.
LOL! Been there; done that, my friend. ;-)
At Warpstock 2005 (Hershey), Julian Thomas and I psent some quality time comparing USB entries, and I *finally* got mine working properly on the T43. Funny how some of that stuff can be so elusive...
