Ah, thanks Lewis, that figures.;-)
In order to allow my daughter to logMakes sense...
in to HP from here (whilst we are entertaining her children) I had to
drop the security down to WPA from WPA2. That let her work, and also
let me continue working from eCS and Win7. But Ubuntu then refused to
connect. I found that I had to raise the router (a Belkin n-Wireless)
back up to WPA+WPA2 then all the clients were happy at WPA. This time,
I inadvertently set eCS back up to WPA2. Putting it back to WPA has
fixed the problem.
Seems as if, between Ubuntu, eCS and Belkin, there are at least aAt least there are no open Windows. Bugs fly in through open Windows. :-)

But at least I can now get back to working up RC7, which looks reallyWe all certainly hope so, buddy.
promising after the frustrations of RC6a.
