I know of no hack for the null MAC issue. Last I heard, GenMAC would not
accept/pass an assigned MAC via TCP/IP (IPX & NetBIOS works, though, via
the NETADDRESS param in PROTOCOL.INI). Also, AFAIK, only the newer Intel
cards suffer from this problem, though I've seen GenMAC completely fail to
recognize a supported Broadcom (B57) NIC in an HP Proliant (far afield from
this discussion, I know).

As for UniAUD only initializing one channel, this is a new one on me. I
know that Carl has audio through both channels on his T60, and Diane gets
both channels working on the T61. I guess it's remotely possible that
different sub-models used different audio chips, but I haven't seen
anything like that with T60's or 61's.
