Thanks, Julian. The other thing I need, besides that model number, is a pretty
precise set of knowledge of what "working well" means.

That is to say OK, your wireless works for hours on end without error, but what
about the other features of the notebook? And of course no one uses all of the
features, but I'm asking these questions just to get a feel before I choose my
first T60 or T61.

Product: ThinkPad T60 2623-D6U [change]
Operating system: All [change]

Original description: T2400(1.83GHz), 512MB RAM, 80GB 5400rpm HD, 14.1in
1400x1050 LCD, 64MB ATI Radeon X1300, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11abg wireless,
Bluetooth/Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, 6c
Li-Ion batt, WinXP Pro

Looks like you got the SVGA+ screen. I prefer those in the T43 series of
Thinkpads. I recently got a X41, and that's an interesting machine. But the T
series looks like a really good all-around laptop, and I'm somewhat frustrated
by the limitations of the T43, particularly the Error 2010 (non IBM hard drive)
I hope there is nothing like that preventing a hard drive upgrade for T60. Of
course there is still the OS/2 limit of 512 GB.
