Yes, I have turned system sounds off. n.b., I did this very early on in Paul's UniAud project. Because not having system sounds has not been a major problem for me, I've not tried to go back to 'ON'... I attempted to upgrade to 1.9.22, but it kept locking my system. So I went back to the last 'relatively' stable levels that still provided decent sound. This is not to say that I don't get hangs occasionally. But, almost all of the hangs occur when PMMail automatically retrieves a message from two [or more] accounts at the same time and tries to play an alert sound for each message. I've also had lock ups if I am playing a video/audio and a message comes in. UniAud just seems to have a problem with simultaneous audio streams. Other than this, these files seem to be OK. The two files that I currently use: >Directory of O:\mmos2 > > 6-18-09 5:52a 72,958 0 a--- uniaud16.sys > 8-06-09 6:34a 675,469 54 a--- uniaud32.sys These report as: >[O:\mmos2]bldlevel uniaud16.sys >Build Level Display Facility Version 6.12.675 Sep 25 2001 >(C) Copyright IBM Corporation 1993-2001 >Signature: @#Netlabs:1.1#@##1## 18 Jun 2009 18:37:40 > smedley.id::::4::448+@@Universal Audio MMPM/2 Driver for eComStation >Vendor: Netlabs >Revision: 1.01 >Date/Time: 18 Jun 2009 18:37:40 >Build Machine: smedley.id >FixPak Version: 448+ >File Version: 1.1.4 >Description: Universal Audio MMPM/2 Driver for eComStation and: >[O:\mmos2]bldlevel uniaud32.sys >Build Level Display Facility Version 6.12.675 Sep 25 2001 >(C) Copyright IBM Corporation 1993-2001 >Signature: @#Netlabs:1.9#@##1## 6 Aug 2009 19:19:28 > smedley.id:1.0.20 :::19::SVN r458@@Universal Audio Driver for OS/2 and eComStation ACPI) >Vendor: Netlabs >Revision: 1.09 >Date/Time: 6 Aug 2009 19:19:28 >Build Machine: smedley.id >ASD Feature ID: 1.0.20 >FixPak Version: SVN r458 >File Version: 1.9.19 >Description: Universal Audio Driver for OS/2 and eComStation (ACPI) BTW, I am using ACPI with two CPs and the following specs in Config.Sys: >PSD=ACPI.PSD /SMP /EIS /ALS >RUN=O:\OS2\ACPIDAEMON.EXE Good luck...
