thanks, I didn't think this was likely but apparently it is.
After I check out Julian's & Chuck's suggestions (I didn't
see modem in the bios but I'll look more carefully) I'll have
to start digging through some boxes for my wife's old pcmcia
Linksys modem and hopefully that will work.
