Time to dig out the DFSee CD or USB?  A check may show up something.

You could boot the eCS install CD and bounce into the maintenance 
routine to fix anything that might be amiss with eCS.

Do you have a bootable anti-virus?  I have one of these with the DFSee 
ISO and AVG Rescue ISO.  http://www.pendrivelinux.com/
