Thanks for the idea, Neil.  I'll check with IBM to see if VPM might be
an acceptable alternative.  I've actually been looking into VPN for a
totally different situation.

The PCom that I have installed is, I believe, the latest.  I know it
also has a PTF on it that I got from Level 2 a long time ago.  When I
display the "About" screen, it says:
    "Version 4.3 for OS/2  20021008"
I don't know if that reflects the PTF or not.

Are you using PCom to an IBM site or to another site?  My problem is
with one specific IBM site.  If you want more details, maybe we should
discuss this off-line.
