I just wanted to make the offer here first, before posting elsewhere (eBay). At the end of July, I purchased these five ThinkPads for a client with a short term need (outside support team). Now, that need has been satisfied, and he would like to liquidate this relatively-new hardware. I have not tested eCS on this ThinkPad platform as yet, but if there is interest on this list, I shall do so later this week. If eCS license(s) is/are required, I can certainly handle fulfillment, as Rosenthal & Rosenthal is an authorized reseller. Specs on this model: Intel Core 2 Duo T6570 (2.1GHz, 2MB L2) CPU 2GB PC3-8500 RAM (upgradeable to 8GB - this is a 64-bit-capable notebook) (2 SO-DIMM sockets, each dual-channel capable) 250GB 5400rpm HD 15.6in 1366x768 LCD Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD Intel HD Audio with a Realtek ALC269Q codec (not sure how UniAUD handles this chip) CDRW/DVDRW Multicard reader 7-in-1 (MMC, MS, MS Pro, SD, SDHC, XD, XD Type H) Intel 802.11bgn wireless (Realtek RTL8192SE, I believe - not currently supported under eCS, but can be swapped for an Intel 4965AGN) Modem Realtek Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) (yes, there is a Realtek 8169 driver for eCS) (3) USB 2.0 ports (1) eSATA/USB 2.0 combo port TrackPoint & UltraNav 2.0MP Camera Active Protection System 6-cell Li-Ion battery AC adapter (I think this is the 65W unit, but I can check to be sure) Win7 Pro 32-bit ~1.5" thick 9 months remaining on factory warranty More info: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/quickPath.do?quickPathEntry=28479UU Price, as above: $485 per unit + shipping (FedEx or UPS) from Leesburg, VA (yes, I'll ship internationally). I can vouch for each of these systems. They're clean and were well treated while in use. I believe the original packing materials are still available, as well. If anyone is interested, or would like me to test eCS or a Linux build on them, please let me know. We can discuss pricing for a preload with one or more additional OSes or a single alternative OS. FYI: These are not T-class ThinkPads (setting the expectation accordingly). They lack the titanium composite case (not as rigid) and some of the other niceties we have come to expect (no ThinkLight, which drives me nuts; no latch for the lid - it simply closes), but they are otherwise similar in layout to the T61, T500, and of course, their immediate predecessor model, the SL500 (but with a slightly larger display than the SL500). Let's keep this off-list, so as not to cause undue chatter here. Just email me directly: lgrosenthal [at] the same domain as this list. :-) Cheers/2 -- Lewis ------------------------------------------------------------- Lewis G Rosenthal, CNA, CLP, CLE Rosenthal& Rosenthal, LLC www.2rosenthals.com Need a managed Wi-Fi hotspot? www.hautspot.com visit my IT blog www.2rosenthals.net/wordpress -------------------------------------------------------------
