It stops the hangs on 2nd sound using both uniaud32 1.1.4rc6 and uniaud 1.9.3 on my T60, and sound still works on an ac97 laptop.

So far, Diane has not had any hangs with her system running 1.9.2, and she is a *heavy* youtube.com user (don't get me started...the stuff she forwards to my brother and me is just unbelievable...). When I saw that she was booted to XP the night before last, I inquired as to whether it was the result of a hang and a failed reboot, but she said, no; she had to boot to XP to view a Flash video (or ecard) which required a newer Flash player, so she was able to do a clean shutdown and restart. This was a very nice change from what we were seeing before.
