Subject: [OS2NetWare] Transfer of mailing list to CommuniGate Pro

At some point today (Sunday, March 26), all mailboxes and mailing lists hosted on our servers will be transferred from InetMail's Steward list processor to CommuniGate Pro. I have worked hard to migrate the user lists and the settings so as to minimize the impact on our subscribers.

In addition, I will be working to migrate list archives from the existing site to the CommuniGate Pro archive system, which is fully searchable and more user-friendly. I will follow up with each list individually to provide details as to how to access the list archives (they will no longer be served from our Apache system, so the port will change. Those lists which now have publicly-accessible archives will remain publicly accessible.

In response to many users' concerns, I have disabled the distribution of sender email addresses for all of those lists with publicly-accessible archives. My thanks to everyone for being patient during this transition, and I know this was the single biggest (and longest outstanding) request, due to the ever increasing volume of bulk email we all receive. Hopefully, this will help to keep us all just a little bit less visible on the net.

During the transition to the new system this afternoon, you may experience extended delays in posting messages and seeig them echoed to the list(s). This is due to the manner in which I am making the change, and your postings should be held - intact - at our backup MX until the new system comes online and we are once again reachable from outside.

Thanks again for your patience. I look forward to getting things up and running shortly, and seeing everyone online in the near future.
