We may have spoken of it at some point, I don't remember. I mentioned the client project to Bob St. John, prior to the release of eCS 1.0, and he was really interested, though by my own admission, I dropped the ball on it. If I could get a handle on how many actual seats could be sold for such client software at $50 or so per license, including pure IP support, NDPS, and some bundled utilities, I might see if I could round up a couple guys to actually hack it.

It is my understanding that the 2.12 requester has much of the Client32 codebase (of the time) in it, though portions were still not implemented (i.e., some is still 16-bit). However, I was led to believe that with a little massaging - and the source from Novell! - it could be updated (to some extent).

Hi

Yes I remember that too. I talk to the fellow I think as well or maybe was it you that I talked to?

I have no Idea how much time it would take up date the client or would the client need to be rewritten to be used with IP and to work with the latest Netware.

I tend to agree. I even had a developer a while back who would have been interested in tackling the job (see what a great job ProSoft did with the Mac client after Novell dropped it?), but I had a hard time nailing down the demand for such a product, so the whole project sort of fell by the wayside.
