Ah, got it! Thanks for filling in the blanks, Nemes. I should forward a note to Craig Johnson to add to his BorderManager FAQ at http://nscsysop.hypermart.net/. BTW, everyone, I highly recommend his books on BM (which are downloadable after purchase through Craig's website).

Well, that's good news, at least. Was it blind luck, or did you find something in the README which made sense in troubleshooting the problem?
Of course, e.g.:
" 5. Authentication page does not get displayed on
a Safari browser on Mac Machine."
(this points a kind of Ssl-auth problem, I mean).
Just curious as to your motivation for installing a field patch on a production box (I do it, but many people I know absolutely refuse).
Aaaand.... YESSS, i'm a brave! ;-)))
Earnestly: yes, you're right, but this stuff is 4 month old yet, and
contains some important corrections compared to the public patch 4d
(e.g. what i qouted above). I think, this is enough time to find the
big troubles, if exist. (Otherwise we used to wait 1-2 months before
installing new patches, if it's not a must.)
