Okay, so here's what it sounds like:

The text mode login requires certain files from the 2.01 requester in order to function properly. I have the exact recipe for this in my notes; I'll post them later on this evening. Without them, you'll get the condition you describe.

Second, NetWare Tools is complaining of missing unicode tables because the UNI files are either missing or corrupted or the path is incorrect to get to them. Try reinstalling the requester. Again, I'll post a complete directory listing of what's under my NLS directory later this evening (that's where the unicode tables live).

The netware tools login doesn't appear to crash, but since I'm not at school yet (which ill be on thursday) and don't have Novell at home, I have no way of testing it for certain.  However Netware tools complains that it can't find the Unicode Table, so im not sure what that means.

Jim, I'm a bit confused...

You used the text mode login? Does NetWare Tools work to log you in? Bindery or NDS?

From the error message, oit looks like the login.exe is corrupt. Perhaps you have another login.exe in your path which is getting called and not the NetWare login.exe? What is the timestamp & size of your NetWare login.exe?
