I now am using the Genmac drivers for both wired and wireless. My suggestion for starting to track down where this is at is A) Remove either the wireless or Wired connection a) test b) reverse which one is being used c) test B) Verify which chipset your thinkpad uses for the wired connection this can be done with pci.exe (hobbes) Mine shows: Vendor 8086h Intel Corporation Device 101Eh 82540EP Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Mobile) Rick R. wrote: > GenMAC & E1000 on a T42p. > > This is getting to be ridiculous, my box is behaving > like a kamakazi elevator. > > > --- Andy Willis > wrote: > >> What was the ethernet (wired) card again (can't find >> it now) and which >> driver are you using? >> Andy >> Rick R. wrote: >>> Well, after updated GenMAC and doing the SYN >> thingy my >>> system still crashes with SOCKET.SYS. >>> >>> This is threatening my whole OS/2 setup as I can't >>> afford to work like that. >>> >>> Does anyone out there know what to do? >>> >>> >>> >>> --- Lewis G Rosenthal >>> wrote: >>> >>>> You need to log into ftp.netlabs.org as the user >>>> "netlabs" with a >>>> password of "rulez".
