In the processs of trouble shooting my SOCKET.SYS
crashes I also upgraded to the latest GenMAC version.
But that seems to have made things only worse.
Because now I find that helperw.exe does take up to
60% of CPU resources.
Once I disabled dhcp during boot (setup.cmd) and start
it manually from the command line after boot-up, the
problem seems gone.
Now what could be causing this?
I tried to "backtrack" my GenMAC installation, but I
didn't keep the old Win32 drivers and the old
helperw.exe + genmac.exe don't seem to work with the
new Win32 drivers .
