Sorry for delay but have not had that configuration running for a bit.

Anything that uses "normal" TCP/IP goes the expected route - via the Sparc
which the routing tables would have you believe. Anything that accesses the
drives mounted by file and print go out on the "unused" NIC. I can prove this
by:

a) No lights flash on the 192 hub and only the laptop and desktop lights flash
on the 81 hub.

b) Unplugging the cable on the wired NIC and then trying to access a mounted
drive results in a hang until you plug the cable back in.

You will recall some months ago when messing with config files I found that
*something* read them at boot, despite what the comments in the file said,
which then often stopped one changing things on the fly because the file no
longer matched what had been read at boot? Well *I* think that *something*
essentially hard codes the wired NIC at boot - because it is up - and never
lets go.
