Since I have uncovered a bug, can't I see whether this bug has been addressed in the upcoming release?

Or how do I even get to find out if anyone has previously reported the problems I am experiencing?

You may not have uncovered a bug... you don't say what the trap is, nor what chipset you have, so I can't say.  If it is the trap 8, did you follow the directions to try to fix that?

I get an Internal Processing Error just after genmw32.os2 has loaded.

I have a Broadcom 4401 chip which is recognised by W14E4x170C.nif.

Is HELPERW.EXE located at the top of CONFIG.SYS?

If you look in the readme it will tell you how to get support.  It is on a gmane list, and you can search the archives to see if it has been reported.

Is it possible to use a search facility on the archive?

On the Gmane archive, you should be able to search. If not, just use Google, with the site option.

On the Wi-Fi archive, there is a rudimentary search and also a filter option. To use the filter, click on the subject heading of the field you want to filter (e.g., Sender). This will sort the archives by that column. Next, type criteria in the filter box, and click the display button. It's far from perfect, but it does help. Eventually, Google will cache the new archives and you can use that (I'm looking into configuring a Google search box on the archive page, but I need to grow another couple hours per day, and haven't figured out just how to do that yet!). ;-)
