This isn't OT at all, my friend. :-) We encourage discussion of *all* unwired technologies, including BT, IR, MIMO, etc. heck, if someone has had success connecting an OS/2 machine via a TV antenna, that's fine, too!!
I've wondered about these devices myself. Of course, now that SIP is becoming more popular, and softphones are becoming commonplace, a BT headset on an OS/2 workstation (or even BT headphones, for those who like to listen in hotspots!) would be a natural extension. I think, however, that we would still need a driver of sorts (beyond serial) to be able to use any of these.
