As long as XWLAN recognizes your interface and can start dhcpcd, there is indeed no need to start dhcp in the "setup.cmd" file.
Now you need to start XWLAN instead :-)
And all you need is either ipconfig or dhcpcd to disable/enable LAN (-> setup.cmd).
Forget MPTN, its hopelessly outdated anyway.
