Well, you could just ask. :-)
Basically, the 5220 is a marvel of modern engineering aimed at reducing
time to market. Internally it contains a Cardbus bridge, an OHCI USB
controller and a Motorala MSM chipset that does the broadband all stuffed
inside a PCCard. The interface to the MSM chipset that eCS/OS2 sees looks
like a modem.
To make it work, the Cardbus needs to be enabled so that the OHCI
controller is visible and the usbcom driver needs to be able to detect the
modem. For Mark's box, we used cbenable to enable the Cardbus. The
usbcom driver was tweaked to detect the modem.
The mc5720 miniPCI wireless cards that are supplied with some Thinkpads
are essentially the same hardware in a different form factor.
To get you card to word, first we would need to figure out what it is,
hardware-wise. This is done with pci.exe and usbres.exe.

This is TBD. The initial set of the PC5220 needed to be done under
Windows. I suspect this flashes card with user id info and such. If the
connection manager is really just a dialer, Injoy or DOIP will probably
work.
