Good grief, do you connect jumpleads and use it to start the car too? :-))) When I use my ASUS with my T23 it's the only USB thing connected. Never had problems with it that way. 2.5" drives can demand quite a bit, and I have a USB external drive-case that needs slightly more than the 500mA that's allowed from a USB socket, so it has a Y-cable so it can draw power from two USB sockets!
