See my other post about bids:

but Denver did not do nearly as well as I expected it would.  I always thought that Denver or Kansas City would be great due to being centrally located.  However, the only thing that seems to make much difference for location is whether someone can drive to it.  If it is far enough to fly then it doesn't seem to matter so long as it is a pretty good airport.  I would like to see a California bid as it has been a few years since it has been out there.  I like a Dallas bid as I think airfares to there should be about as low as they can be from anywhere.  I will be happy though for any bid and no bids would be summarily dismissed.
