As I recall, on previ= ous systems, I have gone thru the steps of putting the images someplace to burn, and thn made such CD sets so I could then "reclaim" that hard dis= k space knowing that if really needed to, I could wipe out something an restore the image. I think the last time I did a recovery like that I = went all the way back to a creating just primary C, some free space, and the= recovery partition. I don't recall if I had to actually allocate somet= hing into the free space to keep C from expanding to the full disk again, bu= t could have had to. I guess in my case since I basically run XP in a VP= C session and had to have an installable non restricted product anyway, I= didn't care so much about a recovery partition rebuilding C:. Also, my= T42 came with a bunch of extra useless stuff.
