While I haven't tested with the known-working firmware, I can say that the issue of GenMAC not finding the card when using the newer firmware is unaffected by turning off SpeedStep. Anybody using GSVDAEMN.EXE in CONFIG? (My T43 is not using it.) Just wondering whether remming it out (and leaving the BIOS alone) would achieve the same result as turning off BIOS support.
