One of these times I will get a straight answer to the question:
Are you saying that, if the 'fingerprint thing' is
connected to a USB 1.1 it will work?

This is a key question!  Why should I even investigate the hardware if
there is no software support for ANY connection.

As long as I am beating my head against the wall, I may as well ask the
next obvious question:
IF you tell me there IS eCS support for the fingerprint
reader, HOW do I tell what kind of USB the device is
connected to?
