That is correct. In fact, although I have shrunk the Windoze
partition and added the boot menu options, I have not been able
to install eCS as yet, so eCS is a total non-issue.

I haven't seen any of this in operation in Doze. The only place
where the fingerprint hardware seems to be used is before the
system starts.
