Unfortunately some features stopped working for some users between versions 1.6 and 1.7 (1.7 was a very limited release group). If these changes have not been regressed in 2.0, there will be users who cannot make it work with their configuration. So back to my first comment - I agree efforts should be directed to testing v 2.0 rather than asking for changes to previous versions, however where features worked in previous point versions but no longer work in 2.0 it is valid to quote these versions so that the developer can compare and see what has changed to cause any issues.
