When IBM sold the Thinkpad line to Lenovo, Apple got more Thinkpad engineers
than Lenovo did. At this point, you might say that an Apple is more Thinkpad
than a T60.

About six months ago I was trying to decide if I wanted to get a MacBook

or a T60p.  I had narrowed it down to those two options.  Long story short
I
went with the T60p because I was not convinced that Apple got their
hardware
issues squared away - I was moving to Egypt and didn't want my machine to
croak.  But in the back of my mind was was concerned that I was not going
to
like OSX and I'd be stuck with it.

About two months ago I was a bit bored and thought I'd try out OSX, so I
downloaded a copy (yea, I know... It's gone now though), installed, and
tried to live with it for a few days.

I actually wrote up my install procedures here:

And my initial thoughts on it here:

Before someone gets on me for downloading it, it's been deleted now - and
sorry, I won't help anyone find the ISO to download.  Gotta find your own,
it's like a rite of passage.

But by going through this, Apple has gained me as a customer.  This little
exercise taught me was that I actually like OSX and could use it for an
extended period of time - If only Apple sold OSX for everyone else because
I'm still not sold on their hardware.

OSX on a thinkpad?
More details please.
ISX running on a Thinkpad would suit me fine.
I know I've heard discussions of how to install Windows on the new Intel
Macs (but no convincing "why")

Andrew in Ann Arbor
technology is the answer, what was the question?
