Regards, John Clemente Hello John, I have never used the 5220 under Windows, but I believe there will be some differences. For example, under eCS at present, there is no equivalent for the Vortex file compression utility so the National Access backup does not really work because it expects incoming messages to be compressed by Vortex. This does not appear to affect the Broadband Access. As a result, the 5220 works well for me wherever the Broadband Access is available, which is practically everywhere I go now. As an airline pilot, I travel to many major metropolitan areas, but don't get out in the country much. As I pointed out in my reply to Niel yesterday, Sierra has a Developer's Central which may assist in getting some of the pieces we need to develop specific drivers and applications for the 5220 and its successors. It may also signal that Sierra is willing to work with OSs other than Windows.
