Hello Folks !
I tried in vain to establish a connection with my HP
WiFi printer.
That bady works on AdHoc mode just fine under Windoze
(whatever goes for "fine" there).
But no matter what I try, I can't get passed the WiFi
connection build up under OS/2.
scan.exe proves I got a connection, but I can't get an
IP address with dhcp from the printer.
Even not if I use all those tricks that normally work
on Windoze based networks.
Anybody got any suggestions?
Also, when will they fix that silly lan+1 error that
creaped back into the latest version of XWLAN?

Hi Rick,
I would have thought the printer would need a static IP address rather than trying to use DHCP. This is the normal approach for network printers.
You don't say what model HP printer it is that you have, but I hope it's not a Host printer (aka Win Printer) where the driver on the computer creates the actual printer commands rather than using a protocol - these generally don't work under OS/2 or eComStation.
And what is the LAN+1 error that you refer to on XWLAN v 3 - as I'm having problems getting it to work also - perhaps this problem is relevant to my setup as well ?
