As CUPS for OS/2 is developed, such printers "might" be supported, but until then we need to make sure we buy "real printers". Since the Canon is working, I'd say it is probably a "real printer" that is driven by a printer protocol rather than binary controls from the PC. Often manufacturers have both Host-based (the official term for win-printers) and full printers in their range. Often the "bargain basement" models are the Host based printers as they can save about $50 of electronics in the printer by moving the page creation work to the windows or MAC driver. Cheers/2 Ed.
