I've already hit the reduction in memory game on these with the latest versions of things in research with using OS/2 to connect to the Hughes Satellite operations with what started as a quest through Direcway. They use these. A further note here about that. I've gotten OS/2 connected through Direcway to the Hughes bird. But subsequent to that Hughes bought out Direcway. All of the octets and aiming game and so on are changing or have changed. So it is back to the drawing board for the basic work sometime soon when the whole dish, LAN stuff and routers get back here for the next round. This quest has not ventured into the Wi-Fi direct part of the game yet with the R51 here for test. Nor the use of OS/2 to do the aiming interface setup with the 45G units and the satellite modem yet. Per the developer of that, the aiming operation is coded in Visual Basic .. on an older version for WIN. It may be possible for me to re-compile it with the VB for OS/2 which I do have here if they will cooperate with me .. Be careful with what serial number version of the 45G you get or try. Becasue of the reduction in available memory and so on there is much less chance for you to cram whatever other operating system and custom interface code you try. A lot of groaning and whining has erupted in the satellite interface forums over this.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WRT54G This is like crossing an owl with Pinnochio. Whonose what'll happen! --> Sleep well; OS2's still awake! ;) Mike Luther Mike.Luther@ziplog.com Mike.Luther@f3001.n117.z1.fidonet.org
