Supposedly, there is a USB Modem driver for OS/2. And, my Treo has a
USB connection to the system for its normal backup and updates. I have
a 5MB/month allocation via GPRS/EDGE on my agreement with Cingular to
do E-Mail and access the Web. I've rarely gone over 1MB.
So far, I've only used the USB connection for Windoze one time just to
setup the original sync process. It would be nice if the USB 'modem'
could be used. But, I'm willing to try the IR stack on my TPad if I
can figure out how to do it. The 'Linux or BSD' gimmick is a good idea
to avoid the 'What is that...?' questions.
