I use the v5 ONLY as WDS station, it misses due to the lack of memory
the essentials to be a real access point
in our situation, high humidity-tropical-36c, we had to put rather big
heatsinks on the chips and to get rid of the statics that killes the
little black antenna switch, put a 3wdg /2mm coil to ground, located
between the 2 final capacitors , where "should" be a resistor.

in the cases where the antenna switch was already history, we just
jumped it to one of the antennas and the unit works as before

We started 1 year ago with SVEASOFT, but now the whole wifi net 1 AP +
18 WDS stations is running completely DD-WRT and chillispot.org

hint: on skynet.de is a file skynet_repairkit_1.2_setup.exe (w2k or
higher only) which includes the complete JTAG tools and a CFE generator
for the different versions (also a v5 linux is included), and where to
can hardburn the mac address
