I have the Intel 2200BG on lan1 and the built in ethernet on Lan0 set to dhcp. Initially lan0 is not downed, after readding the widget lan0 is downed and lan1 is able to get an IP via dhcp.

Hi *,
whoever uses Intel 2200BG: I am not aware of how many and who of you already have that GenMac fix for that card. I expect a public fix release soon, then I can go after the problem, having a box in access which is having that problem.
Concerning your approach of readding the wiget: this in fact is a way to enforce the reconfiguration of the IP interface, working around the problem. You could as well do that from outside, by disabling TCP/IP configuration via XWLAN and doing that form a script outside. Make sure that you kill dhcpcd.exe before issuing a dhcpstrt call, otherwise it may just do nothing. Of course this is only a workaround - XWLAN is designed to do exactly all that for you, and I will hopefully soon have found this bug.
thanx, Christian
