I am beginning to believe that it is not possible to have netbios over tcp/ip on more than one adapter. I was going to try that when I ran into the problem at boot.
I have TCP, NETBIOS & NETBIOS over TCP on both lan & wifi adapters - Also the
dummy address trick - but that was for a different reason. I am sure I have had
both adapters running to different subnets at once.
IBMLAN.INI
[networks]
net1 = TCPBEUI$,0,LM10,34,100,14
net2 = NETBEUI$,1,LM10,34,100,14
net3 = TCPBEUI$,2,LM10,34,100,14
net4 = NETBEUI$,3,LM10,34,100,14
wrknets = NET1,NET2,NET3,NET4
srvnets = NET1,NET2,NET3,NET4 Protocol.ini
[NETBIOS]
DriverName = netbios$
ADAPTER1 = netbeui$,1
ADAPTER3 = netbeui$,3
ADAPTER0 = tcpbeui$,0
ADAPTER2 = tcpbeui$,2
As I have noted before, although the following comment is in IBMLAN.INI
; This information is read by the redirector at device initialization time.
"Someting" reads it at boot and if you edit the files so protocol and ibmlan
are out of sync with what was there at boot time, peer will fail or hang.
