I am not using a router.  Windows works (my wife's machine), I am trying to get
OS/2 to share files and a printer over the wireless NIC, not much luck at this
point.  My gateway machine (OS/2) has TCP/IP, NETBIOS, and TCPBEUI on the NIC
for my home LAN, the NIC to my broadband connection only has TCP/IP to keep
netbois from getting out of my gateway.

That only tells you what you configured, not what is actually been bound to the
adapter.  According to Frank if the interface does not have an IP then TCPBEUI
will not be bound.
